What we're looking for
Track and evaluate all SECI, state-level, and bilateral PPA opportunities, maintaining a pipeline coverage ratio of at least 3x (300+ MW in active stages against a 100 MW target).
Lead bid preparation, tariff modelling, and commercial structuring for competitive tenders.
Conduct off-taker credit risk analysis (DISCOMs, C&I counterparties, PSUs) and recommend risk mitigation structures.
Coordinate with land acquisition, legal, and project finance teams to advance projects from LOA to financial close.
Navigate MNRE regulations, ALMM compliance, grid connectivity approvals, and state-specific open-access policies.
Manage the IPP pipeline stage-gate tracker and deliver bi-weekly pipeline health updates to the GM – Business Development.
Build and maintain relationships with SECI, NTPC, state nodal agencies, and key off-takers.
Identify and evaluate bilateral PPA opportunities with industrial and commercial off-takers.
Support strategic deal selection, pricing decisions, and final bid sign-offs.
Serve as the company's primary interface with regulatory bodies, grid operators, and off-takers for IPP asset development.
Applicant requirements
7–10 years of experience in utility-scale solar project origination or development.
Demonstrated track record of winning SECI or state-level solar tenders (minimum 50 MW cumulative).
Deep knowledge of PPA structuring, tariff mechanisms (fixed, escalating, hybrid), and off-taker credit evaluation.
Hands-on experience with land acquisition processes, grid connectivity, and substation capacity assessment.
Strong understanding of MNRE policies, ALMM regulations, RPO obligations, and interstate transmission.
Advanced financial modelling skills for project economics (LCOE, IRR, DSCR).
Excellent stakeholder management with government agencies, DISCOMs, and lenders.
B.E. / B.Tech (Electrical, Energy, or Mechanical); an MBA from a reputed institution is preferred.
Fluent in English and Hindi.
Nice to have: existing relationships with SECI, NTPC, and state renewable energy agencies; solar-wind hybrid or BESS-integrated project origination; exposure to green hydrogen or round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy tenders; knowledge of carbon credit markets and sustainability-linked financing.
